When Kat Mertens came to mamma.earth, she was running her globally recognised EcoNIDRA™ practice and Teacher Training across more than ten disconnected platforms. A scattered digital landscape that drained her time, energy, and money every single day.

Payment friction
Driven by a fragmented, costly setup that alienated clients and required heavy manual tracking for complex payment plans and early bird pricing . Her main platform, Thinkific, forced an English-only checkout that lacked support for preferred Dutch payment methods like iDeal and automatically tacked on location-based taxes, sometimes surprising students with up to $150 in unexpected fees at the final step
Manual labour
Downloading assignments from one platform, uploading to another, grading in spreadsheets, feedback via WhatsApp voice notes. Manually updating event attendees and emails, while managing multiple spreadsheets for students, cohorts and teachers, meant her operations took away valuable time and energy.
Certificates by hand
Every single graduation certificate designed manually in Canva, one by one, for every graduate, then sent in an email.
Audience confusion
One site trying to speak to practitioners who want to experience EcoNIDRA™ and professional space holders who wanted to do the Teacher Training at the same time, with a cluttered menu, no clear pathways and not a unified space to host them all.
Events Chaos
Accommodating different audiences and currencies, she was forced to juggle Eventbrite for English events, which carried high transaction fees, and Hipsy.nl for Dutch events just to process iDeal payments. Afterwards, event recordings and follow-up invitations were handled manually.
Directory Overwhelm
A directory of teachers all crammed onto one page, no filters, no seo. All profiles added manually with no ability for her teachers to add/update their own content.
Her work was sacred. Her infrastructure was not.

Her full teacher training programme migrated out of Thinkific into a seamless course builder with native iDEAL payment processing, automatic tax-inclusive pricing, and in-platform assignment submission and feedback. No more downloading, uploading, spreadsheet grading, or scattered voice notes.
GLOBAL REACH
EcoNIDRA Teacher Directory™
A searchable global directory, built as an extra income stream where her certified teachers manage their own profiles, list their offerings, view their profile analytics , and receive DM's from visitors. Designed with an in-built admin area where she can see all listings, nominate a teacher of the month and spotlight her teachers. Visitors can also filter their search. What was once a manually maintained Google Sheet is now a living, breathing network.
COMMUNITY HUB
EcoNIDRA™ Grove
Replacing fragmented Facebook groups and WhatsApp threads with a tiered platform offering native language channels, trainer spaces, and a basic tier for free live and pre-recorded sessions. With in-built live-streaming capabilities, unlimited storage and unlimited members, the EcoNIdra™ Grove is growing into the centralised hub, Kat had always dreamed about.

The two-month build on mamma.earth successfully transformed Kat's scattered, manual, and expensive digital operations into a streamlined, automated "Sanctuary" that restored her creative, energetic, and financial sovereignty. Stepping out of the administrative "bottleneck" and fully into her "Queendom," Kat is able to leave the heavy technical lifting to the automated system and the mamma.earth team so she can focus purely on her sacred work of guiding and teaching.
